Two Hearts

“Behold this Heart which has so loved men that it has spared nothing...”
~3rd Revelation of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque
(Life of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, pg. 176)

“In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph”
~Our Lady to the Children at Fatima apparition July 13, 1917

This Friday and Saturday we celebrate the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Through these two hearts, the salvation of the world will be won, and we are part of that mission.  “Until the end of time, we must win the universe and each individual soul, now and in the future, for the Blessed Virgin, and through Her, for the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Those souls will reach a much better and more profound love for the Sacred Heart than ever before. Through their love the world will be set on fire and consumed” (St. Maximilian Kolbe).  In order to love and set the world on fire, we need the love of Jesus and Mary and to be first consumed ourselves--to Jesus through Mary.  Jesus willed us to go to Mary as our Mother when on the Cross He gave her to us as our Mother: "When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold, your son!"  Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!"“ (John 19:26, 27)

"The current world crisis and the crisis within the Church, deep down, will reveal a great hidden truth not visible to the eyes: humanity’s impotence to resolve it on their own, despite all its progress and technology. It is in the depths of her poverty that she will feel the necessity to unite herself to God in an urgent way. This will be the decisive moment for the triumph of the Immaculate Heart” (John Paul II).

Let us pray together for the conversion of hearts through the two hearts of Jesus and Mary:

"O Heart of Jesus pierced for our sins and giving us your Mother on Calvary! O Heart of Mary pierced by sorrow and sharing in the sufferings of your divine Son for our redemption! O sacred union of these Two Hearts! Praised be the God of Love who united them together!
May we unite our hearts and every heart so that all hearts may live in unity in imitation of that sacred unity which exists in these Two Hearts. Triumph, O Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary! Reign, O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus! – in our hearts, in our homes and families, in the hearts of those who as yet do not know you, and in all nations of the world. Establish in the hearts of all mankind the sovereign triumph and reign of your Two Hearts so that the earth may resound from pole to pole with one cry: Blessed forever be the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary!
Obtain for me a greater purity of heart and a fervent love of the spiritual life.  May all my actions be done for the greater glory of God in union with the divine heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Hear and answer our prayers and intentions (mention your petition) according to your most merciful will.  Amen"
