Our Tau Investment

On September 8th, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, we were each invested with a Tau Cross as a sign of our commitment to the Incarnate Word, His Immaculate Mother, and as members of this community.  Our community spiritual director celebrated the Mass and presided over the investment ceremony.  Also present were the bishop emeritus of our diocese, another priest friend of our community, and members of our family and friends.

Father placed the Tau Cross on each of us, saying, "Receive this Cross, first consented to by the Blessed Virgin and tenderly embraced by St. Francis.  Full of faith in the love of such a great Mother, dedicate yourself to imitating her in surrendering to Love Incarnate.  Wear this sign as a reminder of your dedication to this community and of your daily commitment to be clothed in the Cross of Christ and to manifest Him in your life for the good of the Church and the whole of humanity, and to the glory of the Most Blessed Trinity."  We responded with this prayer of St. Francis, "Most high, glorious God, enlighten the darkness of our hearts and give us sound faith, sure hope, and perfect charity, with understanding and knowledge, Lord, that we may fulfill your holy and true command.  Amen."

Thank you to all who were present that day, for making it such a beautiful celebration, and to all who were with us in spirit, for all of your love, prayers and support always.

From now on, we will be posting new blog posts on Mondays.
