"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age." -Matthew 28:19-20.
Our Lord's command was very clear. Go. Make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.... This is, in essence, what we, as a community of aspirants, feel called to do. What we seek to do is not separate from the mission of the Church but is deeply rooted in Her mission and flowing from Her desire to bring all of Christ's children into deeper union with Him and His Church. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we want to present the Gospel message to those we encounter in a humble and approachable manner because this is what Jesus did. His message of love wasn't one of coercion but rather one of Truth. Even in Jesus' time there were believers and non-believers, and Jesus ministered to both. He took the time to make sure that everyone knew the Truth. We, in turn, want to make sure that everyone knows the Truth in its fullness, not diluted in any extent, so that all receive the full deposit of faith, the "pearl of great price".
How are we going to do this you ask? Through a vocation to the New Evangelization. For those of you who don't know, the New Evangelization is the re-evangelization of those who have already heard the Gospel message and has special focus on 're-preposing' the Gospel to those who have experienced a crisis of faith due to secularization. This is a very exciting movement within the Church and one that we are excited to be a part of!
We have all been home now for a few months and are continually discerning this call the Lord has placed on our hearts. This is a beautiful and wonderful experience in each of our lives, one that none of us could have planned or even dreamed of. The ways we are learning and growing on an individual and communal level are astounding and we continue to be in awe at how the Lord is working in our lives through the simplest of ways!
Feel free to take a look around our Blog! Learn a little more about us and where God is leading us! Pray for us! Ask us questions! Make prayer requests! We look forward to your involvement as we continue this beautiful journey!
We ask that you continue to pray for our discernment and for those people who will be involved in helping us, that we will always be open to the promptings and movements of the Holy Spirit!
